The “Innovator’s lunch” on November 21st has the theme Patient Data. During lunch, Deputy Director of the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV) Håkan Gustafsson, will talk about how health data can be used for research and AI. We meet in Antracit in the north entrance of US Linköping at 12.15-13.15 PM.
During the lunch, which is arranged by East Sweden Medtech in collaboration with LiU Innovation and Test and Innovation in Region Östergötland, we try to find creative solutions that meet the challenges of healthcare. Clinicians can pitch their clinical needs, both immediate and visionary, to invited researchers to see if together they can meet those needs either immediately or with some research and development.

During the autumn, East Sweden Medtech, in collaboration with LiU Innovation and Test and Innovation in Region Östergötland, arranges three lunch meetings at US Linköping.
The first “Innovator’s lunch” on Tuesday October 3rd has the theme patient monitoring with lecturers Professor Daniel Aili and researcher Johan Junker. We meet in Antracit in the north entrance of US Linköping at 12.15-13.15 PM.

BME@LiU 2023 back on April 20th
On April 20, it’s time for the fourth edition of the annual BME@LiU 2023 in Linköping. One of the exhibitors that you can meet during the day is East Sweden Medtech.
Biomedical Engineering, or MedTech, lies at the intersection of many of LiUs strength and strategic areas: Sensors, Biomaterials, Visualization, AI, eHealth and many other aspects of Medicine and Wellness. BME@LiU is a day filled with research presentations and activities by and for researchers, companies, students and clinicians.
In this fourth iteration of this cross-disciplinary event, we invite you to attend and/or submit abstracts on any topic related to BME. Joint collaboration presentations involving either 1) BME and Clinical Research or 2) BME in Basic Science are strongly encouraged, but individual research talks, and group or student posters will also be welcome.

ESMT at the “Innovationsmässan 2022”
Innovation exhibition 2022
Recently East Sweden Medtech, together with Region Östergötlands unit for innovation, Test och Innovation, arranged an innovation exibition that attracted a large number of visitors. During the day it was possible to listen to around 25 interesting speaches i Speakers Corner as a part of the innovation exibition. There was a wide range of subjects covering from for example productionplanning in maternal health care, e-health solutions for compliance to rehabilitation, selfmonitoring and usage of drones for intensive care.
Among the exhibitors you could meet interesting companies where for instance BioReperia presentet methods for analysing cancer diagnostics, Biovisor Medical AB demostrated their digital otoskop and Printed Electronics Arena showed examples on how printed electronics can be used in healt care application.
During the whole day there were collaboration meetings and new contacts made that made the day a creative collaboration forum where helthcare, academia and businesses could meet.
